Brian has been playing baseball for over 13 years. The oldest of 5, with 3 brothers and 1 sister, he pitched and played football at Stony Point High school, and Vista Ridge in Ceder Park. Brian has been pitching at Galveston Junior College for the past two years.  Brian was offered a scholarship to play at Lubbock Christian University where he will continue his baseball career starting in the Fall of 2014 majoring in Business Finance.

Ian Jones

Ian Jones

Ian graduated from McNeil High School in 2010. He was a 2nd team All-District 16-5a pitcher as a junior and 1st team All- District 16-5a pitcher as a senior and was selected to play in the Austin Area Coaches All-Star game at the Dell Diamond. Collegiately Ian played at Texas ATM- Kingsville University in the Lone Star Conference, competing his way into the starting rotation as a freshman and starting the opening game of playoffs.

Ian has a passion for the game and is one of Diablos Baseball’s bright young coaches.

Ben Garza

As one of the original founders, Ben started Diablos Baseball in the Spring of 2004. His passion and competitiveness towards providing the tools young players need to take their talents to the next level is what drives Diablos Baseball today. This drive comes from his experience as a young local baseball standout from a town in South Texas named Beeville. With no such thing as select ball to showcase his talents Ben played semi-pro baseball as an early teenager. Ben was a four year letterman in Baseball in addition to being a standout basketball player for the AC Jones Trojans. Ben was a 1st & 2nd Team All-District Shortstop during his Sophomore-Senior years, he also won all his local high school’s individual baseball awards such as Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, & Team MVP.

As a Collegiate player, he walked on and earned not only a starting spot as a freshmen, but a scholarship to play at St. Edward’s University from 1990-94. A lifelong middle infielder, he continued his success by becoming a starter for the Hilltoppers as a freshmen in center field eventually moving back as a shortstop by his senior year. Ben was a team leader and starter throughout his 4 year collegiate career for the Hilltoppers where he earned his degree in Computer Science.
